Fans are finally back in the Emirates for some Sunday blues
Nothing like the first game of the season, well normally that is the case. However, with emotions already running high, from transfer window business, proposed protests pre-kick-off and unrest amongst the fans, I feel just the team sheet announcement will be enough to get the bad vibes going.

It’s a shame really. I for one would like to focus on the positives and support the club and the team out on the pitch but I must admit, it’s hard to overlook the shortcomings on how this club is being run. But support we must, as if the lads are to beat Chelsea, our voices will be needed, and vocal backing might just be what some of these players have been missing. Albeit, the Emirates is reported to have many overpriced seats still for sale.
It will be good for the players like Odegaard, who although he was with us last year, wouldn’t have experienced the full stadium feel, and I for one hope the new signings get off to a good start in front of the home crowd.
I expect a similar team to last weekend, only with Auba making a return to the line-up. Arteta’s record against Chelsea isn’t bad, and he has been known to change things for this fixture, 3 at the back maybe? Although, I’d expect the same back line as last week, along with the same 2-man pivot of Xhaka and Lokonga, with Odegaard in the middle. I would love to be surprised with something different. Up front I feel Pepe has to start and hit the ground running this season, and Auba up top with Smith Rowe or Saka on the left. With the extra man to play it will be interesting to see who misses out, from Odegaard, Saka, ESR, and Pepe. Whatever the team will be it is going to be a tough game against a Chelsea team full of confidence.
Let’s hope we turn up and put in a master class, or at the very least don’t get embarrassed.
